Ray Johnston authors a book that gets up front & personal with believers. His premise is that believers may believe, but they lack becoming. So much of the church is centered around people rather than the person of Jesus Christ.
Jesus was a goer & a sender. Everywhere He went, He invited to come & go with Him on mission. The Western Church is missing something & it is the doing of scripture. We excel at hearing of scripture through sermons, preaching, podcasts, youtube clips, and other ways to access the Word digitally, but are we downloading it into our lives? Johnston thinks there is a kink in the system of our hearts.
He may be right….
This book will help peel away the callouses of our hearts so that we will see Jesus as the bible presents Him, live like Jesus did in the bible, and love like Jesus loved when He came & died.
Jesus didn’t have an agenda. He simply loved, lead people and lived out His Father’s will & nature. Why do we as a church add hoops to jump through or make the simple message of Jesus so complicated?
This book calls us back to BEING like Jesus.
If you want to find out more, be sure to check out this book. It is a gut-check for believers who love Church, but have a hard time loving people outside of the church.
