Commentaries fall into a few different categories. They can be highly scholarly and theological; explaining concepts, theories and implications to the enth degree. They can grammatical with focuses on the nuances and technical aspects of the languages. Finally, they can be pastoral and directed at listeners who are blue collar people that don’t understand the deep concepts, but want to know & apply the Word into their lives through obedience.

Please hear me, I’m not saying that listeners shouldn’t want to understand the deep concepts & the languages, but that is something they can do in their studies. Sometimes preaching is a shotgun approach where the ammunition of the Word spreads across all levels of maturity.

In this commentary, Daniel Hyde writes & studies from the heart of a pastor for his people to understand and do the Word. The nature of this commentary is very sincere with great application, quotes and insights to living prepared for the End Times. The End Times are a hot topic of debate with many theories & leanings toward specific beliefs. But Hyde keeps the main message inline through this commentary and readers will be encouraged to live ready & expectantly for the return of Christ.

The goal of this commentary is to prepare the preacher to preach the text & apply it to his context & community. This will be a great study aid for years to come.
