Curiosity strikes again

Leadership is not about knowledge but rather about wisdom. In this book, Curious, Tom Hughes tries to impart wisdom into leaders through the journey of leading by asking questions collectively. It is the author’s conviction that asking questions helps leaders and leaders-in-training to sift through problems, issues, and circumstances seeking to find the best possible solution rather than the easiest or simplest.

Hughes points to Jesus’ style of teaching through parables that allowed listeners to ask questions and search for the answers by process of elimination. This book has leadership identity implications along with wisdom principles, applications of struggling through the journey, and just the right way to treat people that reflects servant leadership & discipleship.

When you think of leadership books, one often jumps to the conclusion of this is a book about rising to the top, but in Curious, you see a book focused on servant leadership that makes serving others the priority.

This book is a gem in the hands of God’s leaders.

I received this book from Tyndale publishing and was not required to write a positive review. These thoughts are my own, based on my personal reading of the book.
