Worship > Worry

The trick to eliminating worry in one’s life is not to simply remove it, but to replace it with something better and stronger. That something is worship! One way to overcome worry is to preach to ourselves the promises of God so that when worry rises it’s head, worship will overtake it in that moment.

Author Timothy Lane desires to put this book in the hands of worrying worshippers everywhere. Worry is an epidemic that stems from a desire to control what we cannot control – for this is why we worry. Worry implies that faith is futile and that situations are hopeless, but when you understand that God is faithful, your faith can flourish and not seem futile.

Lane threads themes of evangelism, discipleship and worship in this book. He doesn’t have this book aimed for one specific target audience, but you’ll see how this book can educated the believer, but reach the skeptic. Therefore, you’ll find this book to have a strong theological tone that is wrapped in practicality. This makes it a worthwhile read!
