The due process

Preaching is a weighty task, that if taken lightly, so the results will also be. But one wants to prevent that from taking place and he is HB Charles, pastor, preacher, and teacher of God’s Word.

HB Charles has compiled a set of blog posts (on preaching) into a brief book that unveils the process of preaching from start to finish. This process, as he shows, is both theological and practical. To go along with his first book, “It happens after prayer”, HB Charles lets readers know that a man of God doesn’t step foot in the pulpit and shoot from the hip, nor does he wing it.

This book helps you see and understand what goes into preparing to preach, so that we understand what comes out of preaching. The process is grueling, joyful, challenging and ever so rewarding. Every one has different styles and different routines, but one goal – to preach the Word of God and rightly divide it before God and man.

Preachers must be themselves. Preachers must be consistent. Preachers must be humble and remain in awe of God and His calling on their life.

What a great book this is, from such a great man.

I was provided this book from for the purpose of review. The above thoughts are my own.
