Devotional thoughts

Max Lucado is a well-known author of devotionals and books. In this new devotional, aimed at the hearts & minds of the younger generation, Lucado offers a glimpse into life centered on God and His Son Jesus Christ.

This devotional is:

  • Dated for each day of the year: some readers like this, some don’t. If you miss a day, don’t let that steer you away from continuing.
  • Binded with quality: the book itself weighs probably 2 pounds! It is hardcover and beautifully formatted. The book, physically, should last a long time.
  • Simple but pointed: first off, it’s a devotional. It’s not sermons. Don’t get bogged down in what this lacks. Remember, it is designed to wet the appetite of the soul & mind…so use it as a simple devotional to start off with & use it with your family on a daily basis.

Lucado is known for his gift of putting the theological into everyday living and he does that exact thing with this new devotional. Just remember, it’s a simple devotional. Don’t expect this to be the bestseller that stays on the retail shelf for 100 years.

Disclosure of Material Connection: I received this book free from the publisher through the book review bloggers program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
