Intentional about walking with God

Sports is one of the largest idols in the world and specifically, America. People worship the team of their city & region. People spend incredible amounts of time and money invested into these teams and even when they are traveling to play on the road. If you take one look at a stadium on any given day and you will notice certain athlete’s jerseys are littered throughout the crowd. Forget the team, people worship individual athletes.

These athletes are terrible idols, because when they fail or make a mistake, we criticize them for being imperfect. The athletes make terrible idols because they cannot deliver in the way that a person’s soul requires.

Therefore, it is highly refreshing to read about athletes who hold to a greater mindset and an integrity that will carry them farther than any sport or team ever could.

In Intentional Walk, the reader has the opportunity to see athletes who though are under the spotlight, intentionally direct the spotlight in another direction and/or do their best to remover themselves from the spotlight.

This is a great read for a young child who is a baseball fan but also teachable in the ways of walking with the Lord.
