Toolkit for Worship

The worship leader toolkit is a highly practical text. This text is written to pastors & worship leaders who are responsible for leading people in the worship of God. The book addresses the following…

  • Why is this book needed?
  • Preparation
  • Rehearsal
  • Developing other leaders
  • Audio-Visual
  • Stewardship
  • Foundational principles
  • Music

This reader found the book to be practically written but thorough in understanding the process of putting a worship service together. There were some strengths to the text, such as covering so many details that are often overlooked. Yet, the book was without a table of contents, and there were some weak analogies used to illustrate what a worship service is comparable to. I wish the book covered more of the depth of the heart of worship. But please, don’t get this review wrong, there are implications of being prepared for worship and understanding the weight of what you are responsible for in preparing a worship service. But the title implies that this is a toolkit, for the construction and preparation of a worship service, in a practical sense.

There were some things to be gleaned from the text and some things to leave behind.
