Grace >

Grace is pro-active. It is alive. It is powerful. It is transforming and it cannot be contained or regulated into a to-do list or behavioral system.

Grace is real. It changes people. It is an exchange that takes place deep inside of a person & then flows out freely through that person, continuously. It is soft and tender, yet raging and free. Do you experience this grace of God? If so, you ought to know, because it is that clear. There is NOTHING in this world, like God’s grace. It is the most precious of pearls!

Author Max Lucado has written a pair of books the subject of grace and it is clear, he is a grace-filled man. It is also very easily understood that Lucado is an avid reader & very studious. Throughout the pages, each chapter begins with a list of quote from other writers, theologians, and grace-filled believers. These quotes carry much weight and will knock the reader down, before ever reading the first word(s) in each chapter. Along w/ the quotes are scripture(s) pertaining to the grace of God. Let me forewarn you, the scriptures come from various translations. (ESV, NIV, NLT, AMP, etc). Many readers may not be so gracious when it comes to translations. So be ready to know that the author chooses numerous translations when using scriptural support. If this is an issue, and this reader can see why, just have your personal bible handy when reading and use it to find the scripture in your translation of choice.

This book will help the reader have a deeper understanding of grace and a greater, more simplistic approach to living out grace. That is what grace is about – changing the lives of people, for the glory of God.

Lucado says, “If our understanding of grace is small, our confession will be small…” So if our understanding of grace is BIG and we see it for what it really is – we shall be changed people, in BIG ways.

Known for his numerous books on the Christian life, Lucado’s book, GRACE, has been endorsed by numerous authors, theologians, and pastors. Charles Stanley, John Ortberg, Louie Giglio, and others have been influenced by this text and you might be as well, if you choose to read this new book.

Disclosure of Material Connection: I received this book free from the publisher through the BookSneeze.com book review bloggers program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
