Torn yet Trusting

The question is not have you suffered, the question is when have you suffered? When a person becomes a follower of Christ – they are getting a subscription to suffering, whether they understand or not. It’s part of the deal.

In this text, the author, Jud Wilhite, guides the reader (who has suffered or will suffer) through a practical way of processing the pain. The main premise that Wilhite presents is to go from asking the question of “why am I suffering?” to “who is God in this/my suffering?¬†This key understanding is the breakthrough that is needed during seasons of suffering because it allows the sufferer to handle the pain with grace & humility – two key ingredients to understanding & seeing the hand of God in such seasons of life.

Jud Wilhite is personable in this text & writes from the perspective of his own seasons of wrestling with God through pain & trial. This is a refreshing text for the weary & worn followers of Christ.

I received this book for free from WaterBrook Multnomah Publishing Group for this review.
